Restaurant Bronda

Bronda, the fifth restaurant of the dynamic duo of Helsinki’s restaurant scene, Tomi Björck and Matti Wikberg, has revitalized the entire Eteläesplanadi. The easygoing restaurant concept is open for everyone who loves modern brasserie food, and it is the most interesting restaurant opened in Helsinki in recent years.
Presson was involved in the implementation of this magnificent restaurant’s audio, video and control systems. It was evident right from the start that the end result must observe Bronda’s stylish and elegant appearance. The design work began in summer 2013, and the actual realization of these plans (installation and adjustments) was performed in early spring 2014. “It’s easy to feel proud about the way the project was carried out, the finishing touches and current usability”, says Presson’s Rami Ruotsala, who was in charge of the project.
The restaurant has four areas that can be divided into individual sections or opened up as a single large area. Customer’s can reserve these smaller areas for lunch and training events, for instance. The areas are equipped with modern audio, video and control systems. The equipment includes Presson’s Cabin55 display fixtures integrated into the furniture manufactured by the customer that include desks made of marble, for instance. The large 55-inch displays can be revealed whenever necessary.
At the heart of the audio, video and control system is Crestron’s control processor, which controls all audiovisual technology solutions and the area’s illumination via the KNX bus. The restaurant’s staff uses an iPad to control everything. Each section can also be controlled with the buttons of a control panel the customers themselves can operate.
The restaurant’s audio system uses only active Genelec speakers, of which there are 40 in the restaurant. Symetrix Radius DSP mixers, the best in business, are used to realize the full potential of these high-quality speakers in a demanding environment.
